About Us

Powai Fine Arts (PFA) is the brainchild of few individuals who appreciate the value of Indian fine arts and are keen to preserve the cultural India. This non-profit organization promotes various Indian art forms, primarily classical music and dance, by providing a platform for the artists to exhibit their excellence.

In addition, it organizes lectures, demonstrations, and workshops to build the awareness and spread the nuance of various arts among the residents of Powai. In the year of its inception, PFA has joined hands with several eminent artists to provide a feast to the eyes and ears of Powai residents. In 2011, PFA steps into the second year of hosting performances of various individuals who have made a mark in their respective fields of classical art.

As the sole aim of PFA is to spread the cultural forms of India, it stages performances of high standards that can be attended without any charges. It also provides an environment that encourages the locals to interact and access its repository that specializes on classical arts. This organization is able to function due to the enthusiastic participation and support by its members.

Why Us

Indian classical art forms have been receiving global acclamation in the recent few years. It is the pride of PFA to bring them closer to the place where they belong. PFA exposes the locals of Powai to the rich and diverse classical dance and music forms. The events that PFA conducted in 2010 staged concerts such as carnatic music and bhajans, and instruments such as violin.

These events have stirred a wide interest among the locals. In 2011, PFA aims to explore more opportunities to organize many such valuable performances by professionals in and around Powai. It also offers a platform for the budding talents as well.

The events of PFA, thus, harness professionals, beginners, and fans of carnatic music and dance to celebrate the cultural arts under one roof. We extend an invitation to the residents of Powai to come join the celebration of Indian art forms and be a reason to preserve them.
