The vision of Powai Fine Arts in bringing the best professional performers to Powai and making Powai a unique cultural hub to the art lovers in and around led to reaching out to the residents here in the learning and understanding our art forms . It was a natural extension to get into training students to learn our classical arts, to encourage budding talent, to make it easier for people in this area to have access to good teachers.

In September 2017 on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami, with the blessings of the renowned Guru Smt Kalyani Sharma, PFA Music and Dance Academy was launched at Nahar International school, where classes were held over the weekends. The Faculty consists of renowned exponents who have a rich experience in training students to professional standards. Having different genres of Indian classical music and dance , taught under the banner of PFA, helps students take advantage of training under wonderful Gurus with an assurance of high quality training .

Classes are held for Carnatic vocal, Hindustani vocal, Mrudangam, Violin, Veena, Bhajan, Bharatanatyam, Odissi and Kathak.

Our faculty includes, Mumbai Sri Shankaranarayanan, Smt Hemamalini Arunkumar, Smt Sunitha Ganesh, Smt Vanamala Dikshit, Smt Usha Thyagarajan, Smt Amruta Tambe, Sri Swapneel Kamble.
The classes moved seamlessly online during the pandemic and now back to in-person classes at A M Naik school.

Students have had several opportunities for performing and showcasing their talents at the Vijayadashami and Guru Poornima celebrations. Several workshops have also been conducted by guest faculty and wonderful exponents. Students are also prepared for exams as well competitions.
